We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Outdoor and Environmental Education in the School of Education as part of the College of Arts Law and Education. In this role, you will work with others to implement a key strategy initiative for a new degree, Bachelor of Outdoor and Environmental Education, as well as working in our ITE and non-ITE programs. The successful applicant will take the lead in developing an innovative vision of Outdoor and Environmental Education units and engage directly with various educational and community organizations to build capacity across the education system in Tasmania.
What you'll do:
Make a strong and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities. Undertake high-quality research of national and international standing, securing external competitive funding. Undertake scholarly undergraduate (and if relevant postgraduate) coursework teaching of exemplary quality. Provide academic leadership, particularly in fostering outstanding research and/or learning and teaching. What we're looking for:
A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field. A record of contributing effectively to building and maintaining productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community. Experience and demonstrated achievement in university-level teaching and learning. A strong record in, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national and preferably international recognition. Current Working with Vulnerable People registration (or to be obtained). Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or C and can have a total remuneration package of up to $178,024 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $152,157 plus 17% superannuation.
