About the Opportunity
The School of Psychology at the University of Sydney is seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Behavioural Neuroscience. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a programme of independent research that will complement and enhance the School's existing research strengths in behavioural neuroscience. They will also contribute to undergraduate teaching in behavioural neuroscience and related topics within the School of Psychology.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

Conduct and publish high quality research in the field of behavioural neuroscience.
Apply for nationally competitive research funding (e.g. ARC/NHRMC).
Provide high quality undergraduate teaching, including coordination, delivery, and assessment.
Provide outstanding research training and supervision (including honours).
Contribute to governance, leadership, and engagement within the School and across the broader University.

About You

A PhD in Psychology or a related area.
A record of independent research and high-quality publications in behavioural neuroscience commensurate with the level applied for.
Demonstrated record of applying for (Lecturer) and attracting (Senior Lecturer) nationally competitive research grants (e.g. ARC, NHMRC).
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality research supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other academic and professional staff to co-ordinate and develop curriculum and assessment in behavioural neuroscience and related areas commensurate with level applied for.
A proven record of high-quality teaching, including lecturing, tutoring, and assessment.
Evidence of the ability to contribute to governance, leadership, and engagement within the School and across the broader University commensurate with the level applied for.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to foster principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
