The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on three campuses located in Wollongong, Shoalhaven, and the Southern Highlands, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.
We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to provide expert clinical teaching in the discipline of psychiatry for Doctor of Medicine (MD) students at the Graduate School of Medicine (GSM). This role is essential for meeting course requirements, conducted in on-campus teaching settings and in community, general practice, and acute care environments. The position will focus on facilitating the delivery of the MD degree with particular emphasis on Mental Health teaching in Phase 3 of the curriculum.
To be successful, you will hold a current or anticipated appointment as an Advanced Trainee/consultant psychiatrist in the Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, or one of UOW's MD rural training hubs (by negotiation). You must demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality teaching at both introductory and intermediate levels, along with a willingness to develop and implement programs and engage clinical academic staff to support teaching within the rural training hub and across GSM's MD rural training footprint including hospital or community-based settings. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of equal opportunity principles, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
