About the office/schoolThe School of Health Sciences offers an extensive range of quality accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to engage students from learning opportunities in class through to professional workplace experience.
About the roleThe primary responsibilities are the establishment, maintenance, and coordination of a high-quality clinical education stream within the OT program and delivery of Occupational Therapy courses. This includes working with academic colleagues, clinical facilities, and relevant external stakeholders to ensure good governance, quality, and relevancy in all areas of the clinical education stream, on-campus learning, and teaching within the program and the student experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, and studio sessions.Initiate and develop subject material.Act as subject coordinators.Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars.Supervise the program of study of honours students or postgraduate students engaged in coursework.Supervise major honours or postgraduate research projects.Conduct research.Involve in professional activity.Develop course material with appropriate advice and support from senior staff.Mark and assess student work.Consult with students.Perform a range of administrative functions connected with the subjects taught.Attend departmental and faculty meetings and participate in committees.Qualifications, skills & experienceA level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and/or experience recognized by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.A doctoral degree or equivalent accreditation and standing appropriate to the relevant discipline area.Significant experience in tertiary education or equivalent industry experience in the relevant discipline area.This may include specific qualifications, registrations, etc.Experience in teaching, research, outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions, and/or technical achievement will be considered.Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.BenefitsFast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.Generous training and development opportunities.Friendly and collaborative working environment.How to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
