The School rated number 1 in WA public universities and number 2 in Australia for nursing (Undergraduate Overall Educational Experience, Good Universities Guide 2023) and graduates the most registered nurses in Western Australia, as well as providing a comprehensive range of postgraduate programs of study which prepare students for positions in the nursing and midwifery professions.
The School has two centres of research: Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Services Research (CNMHSR) and the Centre for Research in Aged Care (CRAC). Both CNMHSR and CRAC share a common mission to improve the health and wellbeing of communities and society through evidence-based innovations in nursing and midwifery practice. Our research is world leading, with our work being cited 1 ½ times more than the word average. The research we do is in collaboration with our well-established health care partnerships and we create opportunities to share, learn, mentor, create, and promote top-quality nursing and midwifery knowledge to improve care worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced academic with a passion for innovation in learning and teaching and a sustained track record of research to join our energetic, forward-thinking team on our Joondalup Campus located in Perth, Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse academic to make a difference at ECU through innovation in teaching, learning and research
Selection Criteria The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have the following experience:
Would possess a PhD or significant progress towards a PhD;Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia;Ability to apply contemporary approaches to the design, development and coordination of teaching and learning activities in online and on campus delivery modes;Will have completed qualifications in education and/or can demonstrate educational experience within a tertiary or clinical practice setting;Will have a sustained track record of research related activities within a tertiary education or clinical practice setting; andFormal mentorship will be provided to the successful applicant.
You will also be required to demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration This full-time, ongoing position attracts a salary of between $110,065 to $130,045 PA (ALEVB) plus 17% superannuation.
