If so, Canning Vale Primary School (CVPS) is seeking a dedicated Deputy Principal to be part of our team to continue and build upon our positive school culture of high performance – high care. We are seeking a collaborative and proactive team member who will eagerly take on leading the upper primary. Someone who can think outside the box to provide a range of relevant and exciting experiences for our students. Strong knowledge of the Teaching for Impact strategy is important; to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality education. Knowledge and experience in Explicit Instruction, Spelling Mastery and Growth Mindset are desirable. You will idealily engage and build productive and positive working relationships with students, parents and colleagues to strive towards achieving our vision and values outlined in our 'Business Plan 2024-2026' to improve the outcomes of all students. The Deputy Principal currently manages the Year 3-6 component of the school, so experience in this area is preferable but not a necessity. You will also lead several portfolios, which may include, attendance, relief, reporting to parents, student leadership, sharing the management of student behaviour and system testing. However, these can be negotiated based on the successful applicant's strengths or areas of interest. CVPS has a strong history within the suburb of Canning Vale and the school community is committed to ongoing student improvement. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
