About the position Contribute to the Law School by teaching Indigenous law, conducting research, and engaging in the Indigenisation Project. Full-time appointment on a tenurable basis. Base salary range: Level B: $113,934 – $134,824 p.a.
(pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation. About the area Established in 1927, UWA Law School is the fifth oldest Law School in Australia and is Western Australia's premier Law School.

In 2019, the UWA Law School and the School of Indigenous Studies embarked on a project to incorporate Indigenous knowledges, cultures and perspectives into the Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
This project continues, with the focus expanded beyond the JD to include other UWA Law School offerings.
About the opportunity Teach undergraduate and postgraduate units on Indigenous law, knowledges, cultures, and their interaction with Western laws. Conduct research, engage in research activities, and develop a professional research profile in your field of expertise. About you Completion of a professional Law degree (Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor). Ability to deliver innovative and effective teaching approaches, assessments and materials for units and courses. An emerging research profile, or a commitment to develop a research profile. A commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. A demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures, knowledges and perspectives. Note: Aboriginality is a genuine qualification for this position as per section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984.
