Applicants must have been engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within two years of the advertising date to be eligible to apply. About the role:
The Lecturer in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment will lead unit teaching teams in undergraduate (UG) and/or postgraduate (PG) programs to achieve unit learning outcomes and enhance the student experience. This position involves initiating and conducting high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activities that generate high impact outputs within their discipline area.
As a Lecturer in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, you will:
Lead unit teaching teams and collaborate with other unit teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources. Help integrate industry, clinical and/or research practices into student learning experiences. Adopt innovation in unit level curriculum design and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices. Support applications for research and creative activities, including applications for external competitive funding. Build a national reputation based on a growing, focused body of work recognised for quality and impact. To be successful, you'll have:
PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience. Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs. Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications. Ability to contribute to communities through research. Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.
