Applicants must have been engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within two years of the advertising date to be eligible to apply.About the role:The Lecturer in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment will lead unit teaching teams in undergraduate (UG) and/or postgraduate (PG) programs to achieve unit learning outcomes and enhance the student experience. This position involves initiating and conducting high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activities that generate high impact outputs within their discipline area.As a Lecturer in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, you will:Lead unit teaching teams and collaborate with other unit teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources.Help integrate industry, clinical and/or research practices into student learning experiences.Adopt innovation in unit level curriculum design and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices.Support applications for research and creative activities, including applications for external competitive funding.Build a national reputation based on a growing, focused body of work recognised for quality and impact.To be successful, you'll have:PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs.Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications.Ability to contribute to communities through research.Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.Here's how to apply:To be eligible to apply, you must currently be a sessional academic at Deakin or have been previously engaged as a sessional academic at Deakin within the last two years.
