About the RoleAs an Automotive Lecturer at TAFE SA, you will be responsible for delivering industry-aligned education to students in automotive, with our specialities aligned to Light and Heavy Vehicles, Auto Electrical, Marine, Mobile Plant, and Motorcycle/Small Engine systems.
You will leverage your industry expertise to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences, while fostering strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
This role requires the use of innovative teaching methods, e-Learning platforms, and flexible delivery approaches to cater to a diverse student population.
You will also ensure training programs stay current with automotive advancements and support students' personal and academic growth in a safe, inclusive environment.

The successful applicant will have:
Relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in an Automotive discipline.
Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent.
Preferably hold dual trade qualifications in Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Auto Electrical, Marine, Mobile Plant, or Motorcycle/Small Engines (highly regarded).
Extensive experience and connections with industry stakeholders.
Proficiency in using e-Learning platforms and other educational technologies.
Strong knowledge of training, assessment, and flexible delivery methodologies.

Special ConditionsThe successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
