Casual or part-time fixed-term positions Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,800 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community.
In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of one or more Learning Support Assistants to work at our Traralgon campus, commencing in January 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important assistance to the students and teaching staff in delivering high-quality care and Christian education to students requiring support for their specific learning needs.
Some key responsibilities will include the following:
Providing a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyleLiaising with subject teachers about students and curriculum requirementsAssisting students with special needs in the classroom and in private study, as well as exam or testing situationsMaintaining appropriate records with regards to learning support activities and programsAttending camps and excursions with students if requiredPreparing resources to support student learningProviding general support to teachers in the classroomProviding feedback to the classroom teacher with regards to a student's academic and social progressThe successful candidate/s will have the following:
A demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of FaithQualifications and experience in learning support or related fields (desirable)Well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsGood computer literacy skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamThe safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all our students is a high priority.
