As Learning Manager - Operations Support, you will be responsible for understanding the collective learning and development needs of the Qantas Group corporate businesses in line with the Qantas Group and business strategy. This role has accountability in the governance, strategy, development, and delivery for training and customer experience learning programs for Qantas Group across Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) and relative business units & Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
In this role, you will be embedded in Senior Leadership Communities and provide L&D input for activities in identifying L&D requirements with HR Business partners for strategic and transformation initiatives. The role is to draw strategic conclusions for your portfolio, aligned with Group L&D Strategy and influence the overall Group Learning Strategic direction by ensuring business strategic priorities are accounted for.
Take ownership and drive the development and implementation of strategic training solutions to aid the business in continuous improvement of all aspects of training delivery. Acting as a key business partner on a global scale, this role provides expert advice, leadership, coaching, and strategic solutions, leveraging current adult learning methodologies to ensure the smooth transition of business strategy and operational requirements into training delivery and implementation.
You'll have: 5+ years' experience in training management and/or facilitation rolesRelevant Tertiary qualifications in adult education or business field and/or committed to working towards a relevant professional qualificationProven experience in leading a team and people managementExtensive experience in Training/Learning and Development including strategy, consultation, research, conducting training needs analysis, and project managementProven experience in a work environment subject to regulatory requirementsExceptional interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills and ability to adapt style and approachAbility to work in a consultative capacity – challenging, advising, problem-solving, and delivering resultsKnowledge of and ability to lead the delivery of a range of training solutions including accredited learning, on-the-job training, e-learning, and on-demand 'just in time' solutions using a high-impact, facilitative, and learner-centered style across a range of levels and delegate backgroundsDetailed knowledge of the training cycle plus personal and management development principles and able to apply this knowledge to tailor suitable quality solutionsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver within prescribed deadlinesAbility to manage and drive up Training & Development internal standards and principles which meet corporate goalsWhy Qantas?
