Initial contract until 30th June 2025 + potential to extend Melbourne CBD Location + Working From Home Options Government Department + Disaster Recovery Program The Role: This Government Agency is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to design, develop and deliver a targeted training solutions that support the Recovery Program's objectives and facilitate successful change implementation.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough analyses to identify training needs in relation to recovery program objectives, collaborating with Change Managers and Change Analysts to align learning strategies with change initiatives.
Design and develop a range of training materials, including facilitator guides, eLearning modules, and performance support tools, ensuring they address identified learning needs and support effective change implementation.
Facilitate and deliver training sessions across various formats (e.g., workshops, webinars, eLearning) to ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to recovery program changes.
Work closely with Change Managers and Change Analysts to integrate training solutions with change management plans, ensuring alignment and consistency in supporting change efforts.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes and support the successful adoption of changes.
Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a Learning & Development Specialist or Training Specialist focused within the ICT sector.
Professional certifications in Learning and Development, such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar credentials is strongly desirable.
Proven ability to create and deliver effective training programs and instructional materials which reflect adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
Practical experience in developing engaging eLearning content using authoring tools.
Prior experience working within the Public Sector is ideal.
