Role To ensure that all student management and wellbeing practices are aligned to the `Child Safe Standards¿ To ensure student management processes and procedures cater for all students individual needs To promote a robust implementation of preventative and proactive strategies in order to maximise learning outcomes To build staff capacity to manage behaviour and wellbeing concerns To provide internal and external support structures that cater for all students' individual learning, and wellbeing needs. Responsibilities Strategic Lead, implement and evaluate programmes that promote wellbeing, whilst building coordinator, teacher, and community capacity.  Lead the development of homegroup programmes specific to allocated year level cohorts Lead the development of safe and collaborative learning environments. Specifically in regards to SWPB, inclusive practices (wellbeing), departmental initiatives and mentoring to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.  Lead in the implementation of school wide disciplinary processes and procedures in alignment with departmental guidelines.  Develop the capacity of Year Level Coordinators and Secondary School Staff to optimise learning through best practice behaviour management strategies Using attendance, engagement and academic data to identify school wide goals To foster partnerships with all key stakeholders in the Manor Lakes P-12 college community Ensuring that cohorts are in a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards Developmental Support leadership in establishing, implementing and embedding processes and procedures to effectively manage student behavior including SWPBs Coordinate attendance follow ups linked to student welfare and embed processes for monitoring attendance, notifying parents/guardians and managing school refusal students Source re engagement programs offered to students and continue/implement effective programs which support the needs of individual students Liaise with coordinators and external community service providers to ensure wellbeing programs are integrated effectively into the curriculum Empower teachers and students to form strong professional relationships, build a growth mindset and provide support for both students and parents/guardians throughout the secondary years, specific to the needs of all students as identified by data.  To support staff with restorative practices that foster positive relationships with students Establish connections and partnerships with external organisation who can support, provide and/or implement wellbeing programs for individual students and cohorts  Observe classes to provide context/cohort specific student management support Refine mentoring opportunities to ensure the college meets the diverse needs of the college¿s student body Build the capacity of Year Level Coordinators to effectively manage year level behaviours and work through behaviour management processes accordingly. Establish processes to model behaviour management strategies within own class setting  Operational  Monitor/audit support structures for students with behavioural and wellbeing needs including preventative and proactive documentation Identify with SSSO key contact, cohort professional learning opportunities and facilitate the delivery of learning to staff Liaise with SSSO key contact at fortnightly meetings and ensure implementation of recommended strategies and that an evaluation of strategies is documented. Manage internal and external well-being referrals Ensure coordinators gain consent from parents for Allied Health Services and consent for transfer of information between external service providers Ensure IEPs, ILPs, SSGs, PSPs and EMPs are in place for students with additional needs and that parents are aware of these plans Facilitate modified learning environments, timetables, alternative pathways including collaboration with FLIP coordinator to re-engage students back into the school environment. Support staff make mandatory reports when required To be the point of contact with DHS, SOCIT, Child Protection, Child First, Victoria Police, Federal Police when required Oversee information evenings Coordinate and manage detentions and other consequences for undesired learning behaviours.  Communicate with students, parents/guardians in regards to all management and wellbeing needs of students and programs/disciplinary actions offered by Manor Lakes P-12 College and within the community Communicate information to staff about individual student needs  Collate and analyse attendance and chronicle incident data and monitor and manage students with critical attendance concerns. Support YLC and teaching staff to develop professional development plans as an appointed reviewer Implement and monitor support structures for students who are identified `at risk¿.  Oversee engagement strategies such as lunchtime/ after school/ extracurricular activities. Coordinate and manage applications for scholarships for students together with coordinators and staff.  Monitor attendance and facilitate `Attendance Meetings¿ and when required referral to regions and implement these strategies immediately Coordinate and support parent meetings for academic `at risk¿ students.  Coordinate behaviour review meetings with parents Manage complex parent concerns Ensure all meetings have minutes taken - which are emailed to all parties involved Report staff concerns to Secondary Principal Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

Location Profile Manor Lakes P-12 College opened in 2009 and is located in Minindee Rd, Wyndham Vale. The college currently has an enrolment of 3000 students. The enrolment is expected to stabilise and possibly decline in the primary years (additional primary schools opening in the neighbouring area) and to continue to increase at secondary level. The backgrounds of our students reflect a cultural and socio-economic diversity. The college has a Student Family Occupation (SFO) of 0.552 which indicates that there is a level of disadvantage within our community. Approximately 16% of our student population come from a language background other than English. 
The vision of Manor Lakes P-12 College is `Dream, Believe, Achieve'. The college aspires to create a vibrant and harmonious community of learners who have a confident belief in their ability to learn, grow and succeed.
We strive to provide the best possible education for our students and support for our staff. The philosophy of our teaching practice is focussed on students¿ learning needs, and this is backed by current research about how students learn.

All new staff to Manor Lakes P-12 College participate in a comprehensive induction program which clearly outlines the college vision, expectations and pedagogical approaches. Regular communication with all members of the community is achieved through keeping the college website, newsletters, Facebook, Compass, face to face meetings and information sessions and forums.
Another building is about to be commenced consisting of 16 additional secondary classrooms. In addition to the new build, we have 18 relocatable buildings that house 34 classroom spaces across both primary and secondary sectors. These are in addition to permanent classroom and specialist buildings as well as staff offices, staff rooms and administration areas. The outside areas of the College are substantially upgraded and a grounds development plan ensures a systematic approach to further grounds improvement. 
Our staff are committed to enhancing their skills and developing their capacity as teachers by involving themselves in professional learning opportunities (external and internal), coaching, mentoring, and being actively involved in Professional Learning Teams and the Professional Learning Community. 
The College is committed to developing, maintaining and sustaining relationships between the school and home through events such as: Open Classrooms, Celebrations of Learning, Parent Helpers, Parent Information sessions, Community Forums, Year level celebrations such as Year 12 graduation, and Performing Arts showcases such as the Big Day Out, and Western Edge Youth Arts.
