Head of Programs - Warrnambool Tech School Management - Schools (Education & Training)Full time$135,500 Total Remuneration Package inclusive of sBe part of an exciting project for South West VictoriaPlay a key role in the Tech School Leadership Team$135,500 Total Remuneration Package inclusive of superannuationBe part of an exciting project for South West VictoriaPlay a key role in the Tech School Leadership Team$135,500 Total Remuneration Package inclusive of superannuationUnder direction of the Warrnambool Tech School Director, and working closely with the Executive Manager – Corporate Services as well as the Warrnambool Tech School Steering Committee, the Head of Programs role will drive innovative program development and assist in generating business growth as the Project comes to life.With cutting-edge educational excellence and innovation at the forefront, the role requires the positive engagement throughout the region to foster critical partnerships to ensure the Tech School is embedded within the local community.Fostering partnerships with schools and other key stakeholders across the education sector, industry (e.g. the renewable energy sector and clean energy economy, as well as small, medium and large businesses, not-for-profits and entrepreneur/start-ups) and government.The Head of Programs is responsible for the overseeing the development of all current program models, and partnering with the Director to manage compliance, business, people & culture, governance, curriculum and reporting.The Head of Programs will play an integral role in developing and managing the Tech School's programs, in partnership with local schools, industry and community to ensure programs set students up for future success. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate leadership to ensure programs utilise cutting-edge technology that workplaces use, promote discovery and innovation, and deliver advanced education and training opportunities for secondary school students in a rapidly changing global economy.This position requires a proven leader with systems-thinking, a strong knowledge of the secondary or tertiary education sector, strategic acumen and experience leading a school or educational institutionThe must havesMandatory requirementsUndergraduate degree level qualifications or higher in EducationSignificant experience in leading people in a matrix environment is essentialDemonstrated ability to operate as part of a leadership team and Program development experienceAbility to support Senior Management in the delivery of strategies and complex policies, processes, information, and legislation into practical actions and ensure effective implementationCurrent Drivers Licence is essentialA valid Working with Children Clearance (WWC) Assessment Notice and/or WWC CardCurrent (and renewable every 2 years) satisfactory National Police CheckHighly desirable requirementsUndergraduate degree level qualifications or higher in STEMExperience leading teams in a service-focused environment, (preferably a government funded agency)Experience in an educational environment that includes learning technology, communications technology, learning systems and toolsExperience using Microsoft Office products and relevant industry software and programsAbout usSouth West TAFE is an education hub with a difference offering practical and inspiring teaching that prepares students for in-demand jobs now and into the future.Our focus is on delivering courses that give our graduates the skills they need to thrive in their chosen careers.We offer over 150 nationally-recognised qualifications and short courses, and all are delivered by people with practical experience and backed by strong industry connections.We have 5 main campuses spread across the thriving South West Victoria region.
