THE COMPANY Our clients Telco division is dedicated to building telecommunication infrastructure, encompassing IBC/DAS systems as well as telecommunication towers and compounds.With extensive resources and expertise in telecommunication rigging and civil construction, we ensure our projects consistently adhere to stringent standards of time, quality, cost, and safety.We pride ourselves on delivering projects punctually, within budget, and with superior craftsmanship.Trusted by companies such as Optus, Telstra, TPG, NBN and NSW TA, this organisation have proven their ability to deliver complex and difficult sites.Their services includes, but is not limited to: Installation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) in buildings Installation and replacement of antennas Fibre optic installation PIM and sweep testing Tensioning of guyed masts Establishment of greenfield radio communication towers and compounds Management of projects and construction Construction and improvement of access tracks Upgrading sites both structurally and with system equipment Installation of cables and cable gantries Donor antenna and repeater technology solutions Power system installation and commissioning BTS integration Ongoing network maintenance PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Utilize technical expertise to install, test, and commission telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.Field-based role requiring high standards and adherence to instructions.Use testing equipment, read technical drawings, and ensure safety and environmental regulations are met.Provide education, training, and support to team members and subcontractors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental requirements.Manage team activities to complete tasks.Install, maintain, and repair various telecommunication systems.Integrate network and telecommunications technology with computer systems.Perform rigging works and climb structures for installations.Carry out microwave installations and commissioning.Work with cranes, cherry pickers, and EWP's as needed.Assist in reviewing safety analysis and SWMS.Develop and maintain documentation of communication policies and procedures.Provide technical advice and monitor telecommunications networks.Plan customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.Liaise with vendors and monitor contractual obligations.Provide operational support for telecommunications networks.Ensure works are conducted safely, timely, and within budget.Attend toolbox meetings and escalate OHSE matters.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to lift and carry tools and equipment.Able to climb and work at heights.Able to work indoors and outdoors.Clear communication skills.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Licence to perform High Risk Works Tower Rescue Training Working at Heights Senior First Aid OHS Construction Card RF Awareness training Current drivers licence EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Technical knowledge of networks and client work practices.Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Management Systems, and Environmental Management Policies.Committed to excellent performance and workmanship.Effective time management and ability to work in a team.Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.Minimum 5 years of experience in Telecommunications.Excellent computer proficiency.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while providing exemplary customer service.Ability to work independently.
