We have a great opportunity for an experienced trade professional looking to step up into a Leading Hand position at our Cairns - Kenny Street Workshop ! This is a permanent full-time opportunity working a 9 day fortnight or a 4-day work week (38 hours per week)! As a Leading Hand, you will:
Provide active leadership to employees to improve performance Train and develop others including coaching and mentoring Plan work to the highest efficiency Monitor jobs for quality and efficiency, providing guidance and ensuring work orders are correct Ensure tradespersons have work completed by the agreed date Provide guidance and expertise when required Proactively identify job quality and efficiency risks Report defects and unsatisfactory practices to help promote continuous improvement Ensure adverse environmental impacts are identified and sustainability measures implemented as per Company policies and procedures Ensure apprentices obtain every opportunity to achieve competencies in an acceptable timeframe via on-the-job training Why Hastings Deering?
