Join us in shaping the future of our students! We are seeking a Leader of Curriculum/Teaching and Learning, an ability to teach Religion is an advantage but not essential.
This role is a delegated responsibility by the Principal and a member of the College Senior Leadership Team.
The Leader of Curriculum/Teaching and Learning shares with the Principal responsibility for providing quality Catholic education for students in their care.
They have particular responsibility for the overall coordination of curriculum matters across the College including leading teaching and learning.
This full-time role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025.
The 3-point Coordinator position is a promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your classroom teaching position (1.0FTE) will be full-time and permanent.

About You As a Leader of Curriculum/Teaching and Learning, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.
Key Selection Criteria: Support the mission and ethos of the Catholic school in carrying out the day-to-day duties of the position.Demonstrated record of leading learning in schools.Understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and an ability to ensure that this is evident in the teaching and learning within the College.Capacity to challenge, inspire and lead teachers in contemporary and innovative learning and teaching practices.Commitment to team and building relationships.Commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation.Provision of opportunities to build capacity in teaching staff.Support the setting of goals and high expectations for all students and teachers.Support subject selections and subject selection counselling.Undertake other tasks and responsibilities requested by the Principal.Knowledge of and experience in navigating the NESA website and data entry.Experience in a middle or senior management role.Minimum of 5 years teaching experience.You will have attained: A tertiary qualification in Education.Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).In joining Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS), you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students.
