Job Description - Lead Structural Engineer (AUS0009OM)

Our business is growing due to an expanding pipeline of work. As a result, we're seeking to recruit a motivated Lead Structural Engineer to join our team in our newly refurbished Perth office on St Georges Terrace.
About the role Generate and review technical documents and deliverables related to business line technologies.Prepare specifications, design criteria, scope of work and material take-off.Ensure Engineering Discipline Deliverables are completed according to standards, checked, approved prior to issue.Prepare engineering proposals and monitor budgets, staying within the assigned budget and report any discrepancies.Coordinate the activities of a project team to ensure time and budget objectives are achieved.Maintain a high level of communication with the Engineering Manager and regularly inform of technical activities, staffing, budgets and schedules and explain reasons for actions taken.Contribute to the ongoing development of the Engineering Group to deliver best practice technical solutions and implementation by applying knowledge of industry developments and from experience.Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.Lead and develop small team and train in new process and procedures. About you Bachelor's degree in applied science or engineering.Leadership level experience with an engineering consulting firm, ideally EPCM.Demonstrated experience in the design of steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and mining projects.Enhanced knowledge of the Engineering ISO, AS, ANSI, API etc. standard design codes.Prior experience in a supervisory capacity in industry related operations or research.Experienced in dealing with clients and contractors directly.Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as part of a multidisciplinary group.
