Are you an experienced lead school psychologist with a passion for sharing your knowledge with others? The Office of the Chief Psychologist is seeking to establish a pool of Lead School Psychologists for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role There are currently two full-time positions with the Office of the Chief Psychologist available commencing January 2025.
Like other similar system roles, appointment will be for a period of three years (36 months), recognising the benefit of renewal and recent school psychology leadership experience.Applicants interested in working less than full-time are also encouraged to apply.The lead school psychologists appointed from this pool will provide:
Collegial support to other lead school psychologists in their work, aligned to metropolitan and country regions (with a particular focus on early career leaders).A focus on quality assurance and professional standards.Identification and support for emerging trends and complex regional and system issues.A proactive and responsive service to regions and the system.Suitable applicants will work alongside the Chief Psychologist, providing direct advice to lead school psychologist colleagues, Directors of Education, and the system in the assessment and response to complex issues and situations.
You will also provide critical evaluation on issues impacting on the School Psychology Service and support the quality assurance of all school psychologists to meet the professional standards of the Department and the Psychology Board of Australia.
The positions will be hosted by the North and South metropolitan education regions, with a base in either region and the Office of the Chief Psychologist at Statewide Services in Padbury.
