ABOUT THE ROLE
Warrikal are currently seeking a Lead Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis in West Perth. The position will coordinate the fortnightly company payroll and ensure our legislative requirements are being met (including payroll tax, PAYG and superannuation contributions). Working closely with our Human Resources and Recruitment teams you'll oversee high volumes of payroll activity covering both staff and casual workforce personnel with pay runs being processed on a fortnightly basis.
Our Role
Reporting to our Senior Corporate Accountant, in this role you will:
Process fortnightly payruns for both staff and workforce personnel Accurately maintain payroll data and records within our current and future payroll systems Verify and validate payroll related information received from our project sites Proactive engagement with our business unit Managers for payroll related reconciliations Provide timely support and responses for our employees when questions or queries are raised regarding pay Coordinate and process superannuation, payroll tax, worker compensation and PAYG lodgments Provide technical advice relating to payroll legislation, including Australian Taxation and Super Guarantee legislation Offer guidance and support in all matters related to payroll processing ABOUT YOU Previous experience in a senior or lead payroll position with broad exposure to a range of payroll related systems Able to prioritise tasks and demonstrate good time management skills, particularly relating to strict deadlines Very strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy An openminded approach to people, with the ability to work with various stakeholders Ability to work autonomously within your discipline, but able to work within a team sharing team tasks when its required.
