Lead Mechanical Engineer
to join our collaborative Perth team. As part of our highly capable crew, you'll have the chance to work on a diverse range of complex, multi-discipline projects across the energy and minerals processing sectors, including Non-Process Infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Helping to grow and develop a mechanical engineering & drafting team to assist with project delivery.Serve as principal technical resource and subject matter expert in the execution of engineering portions of multi-discipline projects.Perform all necessary engineering design calculations and material selection necessary to prepare technical proposals.Manage tasks and deliverables to align with project schedules and scope.Ensure all work meets relevant technical standards and safety regulations.Foster a strong culture of safety and collaboration within the team.Minimum Requirements:Bachelors in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.Minimum 8 years' professional experience working as a senior Mechanical Engineer.Background in heavy industry, minerals processing and energy sectors.Proven ability to carry out design calculations and provide 3D model/drawing input.Expert in relevant engineering modelling and analysis software e.g., ANSYS, AFT Fathom, Pipe Flow.Proficient in pipe flow calculations, piping specifications, equipment selection, and preparation of mechanical data sheets, lists, and P&ID layouts for fuel, hydraulic, and water systems.Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Keen attention to detail and a proactive, goal-oriented work style.Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.In return, DBM Vircon offers:Competitive remuneration package with super.Flexible work arrangements with WFH day/s available.Flexible start and finish hours to accommodate work-life balance.Access to an employment assistance program.Access to income protection insurance through super.New modern office located in the heart of the Perth CBD.Salary packaging options available.Collaborative, supportive team environment and the opportunity to work on APAC and North American projects.Opportunities for professional development and to work across project lifecycles.Values:Integrity
