Where is the position located? This is a full-time role based in Perth CBD, WA.
The Lead Field Services Specialist is responsible for providing field service, product technical support, fleet performance monitoring, and commissioning of Mining Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) electric drive systems for the region.
This includes the day-to-day management, prioritization, and escalation of issues and customer requests for the region.
Key to success in the role is the establishment of a customer service excellence culture in the region and to position themselves as an indispensable resource to the customer & end user of the Wabtec OHV electric drive systems.
The role is accountable for managing the commissioning of the mining electric drive systems, as well as the escalation of product quality and warranty issues arising in the region, while adhering to a zero-harm culture and ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures.
The mining field services team is distributed across multiple countries and regions, and the Lead Field Services Specialist will work collaboratively with peers in other regions.
Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be willing to travel domestically to facilitate commissioning of new systems and to cover team gaps as needed.
What will your typical day look like? Embraces, displays, and advocates a zero-harm safety culture in all work undertaken within Wabtec, at customer service shops, and mine sites.Ensures Customer Service excellence and conducts fieldwork in compliance with all applicable local, government, company, and mine regulations and employee safety practices.Responsible for overall truck commissioning for the region.Supports troubleshooting efforts on site & remotely for Wabtec drive systems.Acts as the service support point of contact for distributor(s) and/or mines operating Wabtec drive systems in the defined region; reports & escalates product quality and warranty claims for the region.Attends and actively participates in internal & external daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with customers, peers, and management.Prepares and submits reports, presentations, and other documents as required.Supports OEM & distributor activity in the region (sales, troubleshooting, joint customer meetings); supports field test activities in the region for new product development.Provides product performance & potential sales opportunities to headquarters support team.Monitors and communicates project status, business issues, and significant developments.Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, for durations of 2 to 3 weeks.Educates customers on troubleshooting, manuals, parts books & upgrades.What do we want to know about you?
