Ready to get involved and lead the way in building the workforce of tomorrow and the next generation of talent? Here's your chance to make a difference. We're seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Entry Level Talent Programs, playing a valuable role in shaping the future workforce of our department.
At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport we connect South Australians to keep our State moving. We want every South Australian to easily access the services they want, the transport they rely on the infrastructure they need.
For us, it's personal. We feel it because we live it. We know the projects and services we work on today must deliver for South Australia's future.
We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.
The Opportunity
The People, Culture and Capability Directorate's approach to our work is people centred, responsive, trusted and unified. We look after our people and drive a high performing workplace with strong leadership, organisational capability, and a diverse and inclusive culture that exemplifies our departmental values.
In planning for the future, we are excited to be focused on enhancing our entry level pathway programs, including graduates, internships and traineeship programs.
In this role, you'll lead the team in attracting top entry level talent and nurturing their development and experience with the department. From designing recruitment strategies and supporting their journey through the programs, you'll play a key role in positioning our department as an employer of choice and in talent development for the future of the agency.
You'll oversee the entire lifecycle of our entry-level employment programs and initiatives and work closely with our new talent, their supervisors and internal stakeholders across the agency, ensuring care and support, professional development, opportunities and alignment with our agency goals.
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. They will have the ability to provide innovative solutions, high-level advice and consultancy and build and maintain productive relationships with people of all levels, both internal and external, using an empathetic and team-player approach. They will demonstrate the ability to connect different stakeholders across the department in ensuring the successful journey through the lifecycle of the program.
Strong organisation, project management and change management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities will be important, transitioning between the hands on and strategic parts of the role - with no two days alike.
In continuing to expand and enhance on our entry level talent programs, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to evaluate, measure and report on the effectiveness of initiatives and strategies.
Experience in recruitment strategies and project management is essential for success in this role and an understanding of public sector operations and career pathways would also be advantageous.
In return, we offer a dynamic, supportive and rewarding work environment where you'll have the opportunity to make impactful contributions and support the future of our agency. With a focus on continuous learning, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of HR, providing opportunities for professional growth and development. You'll work alongside talented professionals in a united team where your contributions are valued and recognised.
The Department offers a wide variety of learning and development offerings and is located in a brand-new building with great work and leisure facilities available.
If you're ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you!
