Wood Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranges from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally – from Australia to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
About The Role This role will see you join the Project Services team based across our Perth and Brisbane offices. Our team supports both our Brisbane and Perth business across Cost Control, Planning, and Document Control disciplines. We partner with our stakeholders to deliver quality services to ensure success and quality within our project delivery.
Reporting to the Document Control Manager in Brisbane, with a dotted line to the Project Controls Manager, you will join a dedicated project team working on Australia's leading greenfield gold development situated in the heart of Australia's mining sector.
With detailed design finalizing and progressing to early EPCM support, this project will continue to see Australia lead in the mining of precious metals. A project that offers scale, complexity, and variety in your work whilst being a part of a Tier 1 mining project.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project-specific procedures, work instructions, forms, and workflow diagrams, ensuring all technical documentation associated with the assigned project scope maintains Wood standards, and driving best practice with stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to ensure that all project personnel are appropriately trained in the document control processes and document management system and that they have appropriate permissions and access rights.
About You This opportunity is looking for a suitably experienced Senior/Lead Document Controller from a project-based environment, ideally within the resources sector. This will suit those who enjoy the fast-paced, agile working environment that the resources sector brings, driving best practice document control in a project environment.
In addition, but not limited to, we are seeking the following experience/skills:
Prior experience in a resources-based project environment, ideally EPCM/EPC or construction within a document control capacity. Ability to build effective relations with multiple stakeholders locally & internationally. Prior experience working with Business Management Systems, particularly with SharePoint. Understanding of working across multiple project scopes, partnering with key stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with ISO standards would be desirable but not essential.
