As the hub of engineering design for the City, we are responsible for the creation of essential services including roads, stormwater management, and structural projects. We also design pedestrian and cyclist pathways that support the City's active travel network.
About the Role As a Lead Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing project documentation, ensuring its efficient processing, accurate distribution, secure storage, and timely retrieval to support the delivery of construction-ready engineering documents. Key responsibilities:
Oversee the processing, distribution, retrieval, and storage of project documents, ensuring proper document revision control and formatting. Establish and improve document control processes, workflows, and quality procedures to meet industry standards. Conduct audits, identify opportunities for improvements, and drive exceptional results. Foster continuous improvement through feedback and adoption of best practices. Maintain accurate documentation while addressing quality concerns in collaboration with stakeholders. About You You are a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in engineering document management. A collaborative mindset, passion for innovation, and expertise in quality assurance processes enable you to deliver exceptional results.
Your qualifications and skills:
Strong knowledge of document control and management practices. Experience using data management platforms for tracking, storing, and archiving, including tools like 12d Synergy, ACC, ProjectWise, RedEye, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Power BI in line with ISO 19650 and ISO 9001. Proven experience in quality assurance and document control. A qualification in engineering or certification in quality management (desirable but not mandatory) with at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within the AEC industry.
