The role
As Prospa's Lead Data Scientist, you will spearhead data-driven decision-making across the organisation and generate impactful, actionable insights aligned with our strategic roadmap. You'll collaborate effectively with stakeholders and leaders across the business, applying a solution-focused approach to address both immediate and strategic challenges related to product-led growth, marketing, and commercial risk.
What you'll will be doing
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
Understanding business needs and translating them into value-driven data science projects.
Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
Exploring and utilising new technologies, such as graph networks, to address complex problems.
Ensuring models are scalable and efficiently integrated into production environments.
Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects.
Prioritising projects based on business impact and resource availability.
Ensuring timely and successful delivery of data science solutions.
Fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Identifying opportunities to enhance data science capabilities with new tools and technologies.
What you'll need to succeed
Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience in a commercial data science role.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., MLFlow, model serving, feature stores) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) and deploying models at scale.
Knowledge of graph networks and their applications.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
