We're searching for a Lead Data Scientist who views data science as an art form—someone who innovates and builds transformative models from scratch.
In this role, you'll have the autonomy to design, lead, and refine the modeling roadmap across risk, optimisation, and fraud detection for a pioneering global FinTech company.
This is a business that has developed a world-class predictive model that is not only cash flow positive but also first to market, setting new standards in the financial industry.
To continue this upward trajectory, they need someone who can enhance their current predictive models and drive and deploy new predictive models and/or machine learning algorithms to further disrupt the market.
We are looking for someone who has a mix of large/global financial services companies and smaller/medium sized scale ups.
What We're Looking For Educational Background: Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.Experience: 8-10+ years of proven experience in building and optimising a variety of predictive models across areas such as risk, credit, fraud detection, and customer behaviour.Industry experience: Financial Services/ Global analytics powerhousesSkills: Strong background in statistical modeling techniques, with a commercial-oriented, outcome-focused approach.
Ability to prioritize efforts to align with business goals.Programming Languages: Strong SQL and either Python or RCommunication: Ability to clearly articulate model development processes and engage with executive stakeholders.Mindset: An innovative thinker who thrives on solving complex problems and is comfortable with both strategic and hands-on work.Leadership: Team and stakeholder leadership skills.
