In this role, the successful applicant will oversee cybersecurity detection and response technologies, processes, and partnerships, and play a key role in advising the organisation on securing systems, infrastructure and data. This position is responsible for evaluating and configuring security tools and solutions, advising on security architecture, and scoping security testing and assurance exercises. The ideal candidate will advise and report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and have extensive experience in cybersecurity, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes healthcare environment.The position will be:Full Time.Some after-hours work may be required from time to time.Located in Clayton, Victoria, flexible hybrid working environment. Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the Security Operations function and enhance our cybersecurity detection and response technologies, ensuring robust protection against threats.Provide expert advice on securing system infrastructure, data, and overall security architecture.Assess, select, and configure security tools and solutions.Scope, execute, and manage security testing and assurance exercises to validate our defenses and identify vulnerabilities.Work closely with external partners to ensure alignment with our security goals and best practices.To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security operations, architecture or engineering, incident response, or testing and assurance.Professional certifications in information security, such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.Strong knowledge of information security standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience working in a regulated industry, such as finance or healthcare, is preferred.Australian Clinical Labs is an equal opportunity employer, we encourage applications from people of all ages, nationalities, abilities and cultures – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTQI+ community and people living with disability.
