About the Role The Principal Business Architect will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution.
You'll work closely with business leaders and IT teams to develop and implement IT solutions that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
In this role, you will report directly to the Global Head of Technology and have a small team of analysts and architects reporting to you.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): Governance: Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Contribute to improvement of Sandfire's Architecture Governance process.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders.Strategic Alignment: Analyse business strategies, goals, and objectives to identify IT capabilities required for success.Business Capabilities: Undertake ongoing maintenance of Business Capability Model and Enterprise Solution Architecture for Sandfire.Roadmaps: Develop blueprints and roadmaps for specific segments of the business.IT Solution Design: Design and document IT solutions that support business processes, aligning with enterprise architecture standards.Requirements Analysis: Elicit, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.Solution Evaluation: Assess the suitability of IT solutions against business needs, considering factors such as cost, feasibility, and scalability.Other duties as per operational requirements.About You Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science or related discipline.At least 15 years' experience working in Business IT related roles with at least 4 years in a Business Architecture role or similar with proven experience in the mining and resources industry.Strong understanding of data architecture, enterprise architecture, and solution architecture.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with developing business capability models, roadmaps, enterprise application architectures.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework).This is a multi-faceted architecture role and relevant experience outside architecture (e.g., project management, development, business analysis) is advantageous.Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.Experience with Agile Delivery frameworks, techniques and tools.Sandfire Resources NL is a dynamic mid-tier Australian mining and exploration company which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX Ticker: SFR).
