The Senior/Lead BA is pivotal in understanding business needs and objectives and helping this be shaped into concepts and eventually requirements that can be consumed and delivered by the development and testing teams. This is a contingent contract role working at AMP.Description of division and business unitThe North Delivery team sits under the Technology Delivery department within the AMP Australia (AMPA) business unit. The North Delivery team provides full lifecycle management of the North platform which is one of the leading Wrap platforms in the Wealth market. The capability within the team is diverse with specialised skillsets and deep knowledge within the Wealth Industry. Roles within the team cover Strategic Planning, Business and Systems Analysis, Development, Architecture, Testing, and Production Support.About the role:Work with business stakeholders to understand and clarify business objectives and help translate this into artefacts that can be executed by the delivery teams.Work with the Business Analysis & Portfolio Planning Manager and broader Platform Technology Team to plan and deliver change.Lead other Business Analysts on program/s by shaping workstreams, planning the deliverables and schedules, and supporting the BAs in executing through the plan.Support the development of business cases including estimating, scheduling, and supporting benefits definition.Take the understanding of business objectives and produce high quality and concise project briefs (project initiation phase) and High-level requirements to be consumed by business stakeholders and technology teams.Produce functional specification artefacts outlining for technology and business stakeholders how the requirements will be met from a system perspective.Coaching and mentoring of other BAs working within the program/s.Work closely with Product Owners to review and prioritise project backlogs.Work with peers at all stages of the SDLC to deliver high quality, fit for purpose solutions.Build and foster effective relationships with Business and IT teams internally and externally.Proactively support the ongoing evolution of the North BA services and knowledge bank.Job specific capabilities required:Scope definition and managementRequirements definition and managementBusiness rules definition and managementBusiness and/or system process analysis and mapping (As-Is, To-Be)Data analysisAbility to identify Risk and/or Issues and contribute to mitigation planning.Workshop facilitationStakeholder management (multiple levels of the organisation)Ability to engage with both technical and business resources and act as the conduit.Ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.Commitment to delivering high quality and cost-effective solutions to business stakeholders.Understand fundamental design principles for building scalable applications.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, and organisational skills.Ability to establish and maintain relationships.About you:Strong business analysis experience in Wrap, Wealth and/or Superannuation platforms.Prior experience as a Senior/Lead BA on large programs of work leading other BAs.Wrap platform experience or North experience highly valuable.Experience working across the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC).Demonstrated experience working in both Agile and Waterfall software delivery models.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Appropriate tertiary qualifications and relevant industry experience.Working at AMPWe are transforming our business.
