We'd like to be part of it and for you to be part of ours.We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate to join our Statutory Insurance team in Adelaide working for Partner, Mick Dwyer.About the team and the workThis large and vibrant team, led by 3 Partners, specialise in acting for employers and insurers in statutory litigation matters and providing strategic advice on minimising claims liability.You will be involved in running litigation in the South Australian Employment Tribunal, with opportunities to also gain exposure to work in the District and Supreme Courts, Court of Appeal, AAT and Federal Courts.This practice is high volume and will allow you to become a subject matter expert in this area of law through support from senior team members.You will be mentored and encouraged to develop your skills whilst supporting the senior members of the team on a wide range of matters.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a move to a national firm who focus on the development, well-being, and growth of their people.What the market saysRecognised: Doyle's Guide, Preeminent and Leading Lawyers - Workers Compensation (Defendant), 2024.Winner: Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer of the Year - Firm of the Year, 2024.Finalist: Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards - Insurance Specialist Firm of the Year, 2024.Finalist: Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards – Law Firm of the Year, 2024.About youAt least 1 to 4 years' experience gained in a well-regarded Insurance practice.Previous experience in personal injury claims and workers' compensation.You will also have some advocacy skills or be interested in developing these.Some advice skills and proven file management experience is essential.What Sparke Helmore can offer youOur culture is one which values and celebrates diversity to better represent the communities in which we live and work.
