About the role We are currently seeking an experienced level lawyer to join our growing Perth Real Estate practice on a full-time permanent basis.
Working with highly regarded partners, Michael Hain and Simon Moen, who have a demonstrated history of providing solutions for clients in real estate matters and listed in Best Lawyers in Australia as leading lawyers, this is a great opportunity to join the team and build your career.
You will have the opportunity to: Work autonomously in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on learning and career developmentDevelop a deeper understanding of the laws relevant to a real estate practiceWork on cross-border and cross-practice group mattersLearn how real estate transactions are structuredDraft, negotiate and settle sale and purchase agreements for commercial, industrial, retail and green fields residential landDraft and negotiate complex agreements for lease and leasesAssist with strategic land tenure and property law adviceDraft and negotiate transaction documents for urban renewal projectsDraft and interpret management, services and development agreementsDraft documents and advise in relation to expressions of interest, requests for tender and heads of agreementDevelop a deeper knowledge of Landgate, PEXA and OSR processesParticipate in business development and client relationship activities and develop their skills in these areas.About you We value our culture at K&L Gates and are proud of our friendly and respectful reputation. You should be practical, resilient and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and work well in a team.
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 2 years in real estate experience, ideally at a well-regarded firm or sophisticated in-house environment. You will be commercially astute, have a strong eye for detail and be a team player. In addition, you will have a demonstrated willingness to build effective relationships with internal and external clients.
