Lawyer (PAE 4+), Workplace Relations & Safety - BrisbaneWe are seeking interest from motivated employment lawyers with 4 years PAE with a focus on government workplace matters.
09th April, 2024 About the role
Working closely with partner Jackie Hamilton, this position is 100% dedicated to government workplace matters, with a focus on disciplinary matters, workplace misconduct, show cause notices, investigation matters, and litigation preparation.

In addition to varied and interesting work, you will be joining a supportive team that fosters development under senior leaders with access to partners and peers across our national firm.

This position will also play a key role in mentoring, guiding and developing graduates and junior lawyers in the team.

About you
Ideally you will have at least 4 years PAE. You will be a motivated lawyer, with a genuine passion for workplace relations and establishing a career with Holding Redlich. Notably, you will have experience either working within government or on government matters. 

You will have excellent drafting skills, a highly attuned eye for detail and demonstrate an understanding, commensurate with your experience, of the Australian laws relating to:

employment contracts;industrial relations;discrimination claims;workplace bullying; Industrial Relations Act/Public Sector Act compliance;ill health retirement; andpublic service appeals. 09th April, 2024 About the role

You will show an aptitude for the business of private legal practice in relation to time recording, billing, debtor management and matter control (including client liaison). 

You will also have a genuine interest in developing others with a focus on enhancing the capabilities of junior team members and positively contributing to great team morale.
