The Role This 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract is for a skilled Commercial and Corporate Lawyer, confident in providing a wide range of legal advice on relevant obligations and risks for this Not-for-Profit entity. Your responsibilities include: Develop and execute proactive strategies to enhance legal risk management controls; Offer guidance, negotiation, drafting, and advice on commercial contracts; Provide counsel on contracts, legal risks, and liabilities across various commercial scenarios, ensuring compliance; and Assist in delivering briefings to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee regarding contract matters and legal advice. About You The ideal candidates will be commercially astute and have a minimum of 3 years PAE with proven experience in commercial contracts management and negotiation. In addition, you will also possess the following: Admitted as a Solicitor in QLD; 5+ years' post-qualification experience. In-house experience preferred; Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively; Ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate persuasively with stakeholders and advise clients and senior management on procurement planning, sourcing and contract management strategies; and Motivated, pro-active and self-managing.
