You will:
Have a strong interest in corporate law, corporate governance and general corporate advisory and head office advice, preferably within a large corporate environment or top tier law firm;Have commercial acumen;Have excellent communication skills;Want to learn on the job and work on a broad range of corporate legal work within a large and complex financial services institution.Some of you responsibility's will include:
Support the senior lawyers in the broader Corporate Advisory Legal team in providing high quality advice in relation to various corporate advisory and head office matters including annual general meetings, corporate reporting, the banking executive accountability regime, directors' duties and liabilities, prudential standards and supporting the Westpac Group's risk strategy.Keep up to date with legislation, risk management frameworks and procedures in order to provide quality advice to internal stakeholders.Partner with our key internal business partners.What's in it for me? We want to hear from lawyers with 3 to 5 years' experience. Your training could have been gained either as an in-house counsel with a major organisation, or in a leading law firm. 
Good understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations, APRA prudential standards and other relevant legislation and desire to learn and develop your understanding of these areas. Strong written and oral communication skills, judgement, decision-making and problem solving skills. Attention to detail.Focus on outcomes and delivery.What is it like to work there?
