The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018.
The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020, provides a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme.
The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning, and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer.

About the role The Authority is seeking a lawyer to work on a diverse range of matters within its growing team.
Reporting to the Managing Principal Lawyer, you will be provided support from the team and given autonomy to work on challenging matters while developing your legal skills.
You will work with internal stakeholders and deal with a range of legal and factual complexities requiring legal research and analysis.
You will be joining a high-performing and cohesive team that believes in work/life balance and supports learning and development.
This role has flexibility to be based at the Docklands office with regular travel to the Bendigo Office and working from home up to two days per week.
