About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer/Associate to join our well-regarded Government Advisory team.
Working alongside Partners Mark Henry and Angela Barac and the wider team, this role will focus on providing merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.
This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team and have responsibility for your own matters.
Day to day you will have the following responsibilities:
Drafting summaries of evidence and statements of issues.Assisting and attending case conferences and hearings.Conducting directions hearings.Drafting litigation strategies.Complex statutory interpretation.About you In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Approximately 1-3 years post qualification experience, ideally with experience in government advisory work, and have a strong interest in administrative law and statutory interpretation.You may have a background of working in government and be keen to make your first move into a law firm.
Alternatively, you will be doing similar work in another firm and looking for a new opportunity.You will have strong drafting skills, excellent communication skills, and a collegiate approach.In turn, you will have the opportunity to join a well-regarded team with exposure to complex and high-profile work.
