We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Global Financial Markets team in Sydney, with a focus on Energy and Infrastructure Financing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising on a broad range of financing transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of financing transactions for energy and infrastructure projects.Provide expert legal advice on a variety of financing arrangements including project finance, corporate finance, acquisition finance, and structured finance.Manage and coordinate due diligence processes, risk assessments, and the preparation of transaction documentation.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.Collaborate with partners and other associates across different jurisdictions to ensure a cohesive service offering to our clients.Mentor and supervise junior associates and other team members, contributing to their professional development.Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the energy and infrastructure financing sectors.Contribute to business development activities, including pitching and presenting to potential clients.Participate in industry conferences and events to enhance the firm's profile and network within the sector.Qualifications: Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience (UK notional), ideally with a specific focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.Proven track record of leading complex financing transactions.Excellent legal, analytical, and negotiation skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail.Admitted to practice in Australia or another common law jurisdiction.Clifford Chance is one of the world's pre-eminent law firms, with significant depth and range of resources across five continents.
