The Role Partners Joel Von Thien and Nicholas Fletcher are seeking a talented Lawyer to join their growing team based in Sydney. With a unique practice that spans commercial transactions and regulated infrastructure matters, Joel and Nick foster a team culture that is non-hierarchical, collegiate, and flexible.
In this role you will work on a diverse range of commercial transactions, major projects, and regulatory matters for a variety of clients across the rail, maritime ports, airports, logistics, telecommunications, and digital economy industries.
In addition to advising on complex transactions, the team supports clients on project delivery, procurement and supply arrangements, contract management, and infrastructure access advice issues. The team works collaboratively with other practice groups within the Firm to deliver a full-service offering that meets client needs.
You will also have the opportunity to gain quality experience via client secondments when they arise.
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
2-4 years' experience as a Lawyer, gained within a reputable commercial law firm; Strong academic performance; Demonstrated experience in drafting commercial contracts and/or transactional experience in corporate M&A, front-end major projects, real estate, or other commercial practice; The ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters; A genuine commitment to client service and a desire to engage in business development activities and secondments; Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for building stakeholder relationships and maintaining a positive team environment; An ambitious and focused determination to take your career to the next level.
