This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and versatile lawyer, looking to apply their knowledge and skillset in a fast-paced, friendly and collaborative environment, whilst running their own matters and mentoring junior lawyers.Our practice focuses on a broad mix of litigious and pre-litigation advisory matters, so if you like variety, lots of client contact, taking ownership of your matters and coaching junior team members, this may be the ideal position for you. Given the nature of the work and the current mix of the team, hands-on experience in disputes relating to contract law, Australian Consumer Law and the Corporations Act is essential. Additional experience in relation to disputes involving regulators, commercial and retail leasing, construction, or intellectual property is highly desirable.Candidates should be confident with processes and rules of the NSW Courts and the Federal Court. Experience in other jurisdictions will be highly regarded, as will experience acting in proceedings before the NSW Civil and Tribunal Administrative Tribunal (or other state equivalent bodies).The Ideal Candidate Experienced: 2-6 years PQE of quality experience at a recognised mid or top-tier firm, or quality in-house experience. Dual qualified in Australia and New Zealand - Highly Advantageous Additional experience acting for New Zealand clients or in respect of New Zealand law is highly desirable, as the successful candidate will be expected to work across both jurisdictions.
