Your role
 
This role sits within our highly regarded retail property team in Melbourne.
 
We advise on all aspects of commercial, industrial and retail leasing including drafting and negotiating lease agreements and lease-related documents, interpretation of leases, rent reviews, make-good arrangements, incentives and disputes including enforcing and terminating commercial leases. We operate one of the largest shopping centre practices in Australia, catering for the needs of over 150 shopping centres.
 
We advise on the development and redevelopment of major retail and multi-use sites, large due diligence investigations and transactions for buyers and sellers in relation to commercial and retail property.
 
With the support of an experienced and approachable Partner group and other lawyers and paralegals, you will work both independently and as part of a team, with direct client contact.
 
While our ideal candidate has 2-4 years' post admission experience, we are very open to hearing from more junior or senior lawyers who are excited by this opportunity.
 
About you
 
To be considered for this role:
You will have a property background, ideally with experience (in a mid or top tier firm) working across a broad range of retail leasing matters and/or transactions You have a practical and commercial approach to issues and work hard to ensure your client's expectations are understood and met. You have well-developed drafting and communication skills with a genuine interest to provide excellent service to your clients.
