The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Law Clerk to join our Plaintiff Compensation team in Brisbane.
You will be part of a friendly, collegiate and hard-working team and will be supported with on-the-job training and professional development.
You will work alongside a dedicated team and will also have direct mentoring from our Principals.
In this role, you will be exposed to a range of interesting personal injury cases and will have the opportunity to build your skills.
Who are we seeking? Our ideal candidate will be studying towards a Bachelor of Laws with an interest to work in the Plaintiff Compensation stream.
You may even have an interest in the medical field and are eager to apply your broad knowledge in a practical role.
In addition, you will possess the following:
Confidence to build on your legal skillsExcellent communication and negotiation with clients and colleaguesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamOther duties will include: Assisting the Principals and Solicitors on a range of personal injury claims.Assisting with negotiating settlements, attending conferences, mediations, court and assisting with court processes.Drafting court documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions.Communicating directly with clients via email, phone and in person meetings.About McInnes Wilson We are a full-service firm with 53 principals providing high quality legal advisory services across Australia.
