Your role at St John of God Health Care You will provide general paralegal and administrative services to Group Legal in a wide range of areas including workers compensation, intellectual property, commercial law, company secretarial, property, conveyancing, employee relations and workforce, insurance, medical malpractice, projects and capital redevelopments, legal research, document and file management and precedents.
The Position Providing general paralegal services in a wide range of areas including:
Insurance – assisting with enquiries regarding Group insurance policies, maintaining relevant databases with respect to insurance matters, liaising with other stakeholders to prepare insurance data and preparing reports in relation to insurance. Workers' compensation – assisting with drafting of WorkCover documents, settlement documents and briefs to expert witnesses. Property – reviewing and providing initial advice on leasing and licensing documentation, searching WA, Vic and NSW land titles databases and analysing Certificates of Title. Commercial law – assisting with drafting of standard commercial letters and documents (eg. business name applications) and providing initial review and advice on commercial contracts (eg. Purchase of machinery, software, student placement arrangements). Research – including searching online databases. Document management – provide assistance with document management tasks such as filing, scanning, preparation of contracts, presentations, court documents and statutory forms. Precedents – assisting with maintenance and organisation of legal departments precedents. Administrative tasks To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate advanced planning and organisation skills and attention to detail, with strong academic performance. This opportunity may be of particular interest to Law students with successful applicants having commenced or part completion of a degree of Law.
