The Opportunity: In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently whilst also being supported by our team across a variety of matters in practice areas such as commercial disputes, building and construction, leasing, commercial transactions, and succession planning.
This is a great role for an individual currently studying law who wants to gain industry experience and develop skills within a high-performing, supportive team. You'll assist senior team members, staying engaged and challenged while receiving strong support to achieve your career goals.
Key Responsibilities: Providing assistance in managing accounts and financial transactions; Entering receipts and payments accurately in the firm's practice management system; Performing reconciliations at end of month; Client billing and reporting; Overseeing office management services to maintain an efficient workplace; Managing relationships with external IT providers; Being flexible to assist with ad hoc office duties as needed; Providing general administrative support as required; Conducting legal research; Reviewing, classifying, naming, and importing documents into the company's document management system for the purpose of discovery; Drafting file notes, affidavits, pleadings, and witness statements; Drafting style guides, policies, and procedures; Supporting other solicitors as required. About You: A law student with a minimum of two years remaining on their legal studies; A self-motivated and 'can-do' attitude; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong analytical skills; Good time management and organisational skills; A high level of attention to detail; A team player mentality with a supportive and collaborative working style.
