Hedland Maritime Initiative "HMI" is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pilbara Ports Authority, a Government Trading Enterprise.
HMI has been set up to:
administer the Western Australian Government's Port Hedland voluntary buy back scheme. facilitate the planning and development of The West End Precinct. The Role As the Procurement Officer for the Hedland Maritime Initiative (HMI), you will be responsible for preparing procurement packages related to property management, property redevelopment, and other supply arrangements.
You will also be required to prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and licenses, as well as liaise with our internal legal teams regarding those agreements. Your role will include data administration and research for information and reports that guide key decision-making and outcomes for the HMI Team. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of executive and board papers.
This is a newly created role in a welcoming and supportive team. The Procurement Officer reports to the Manager, Hedland Maritime Initiative.
About You This role is ideally suited to a person with previous procurement, contract, or property experience. Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or law will be highly regarded.
You will have a proactive and positive approach and enjoy working with a diverse range of people. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be vital in your success in the role, allowing you to build productive relationships both internally and with outside stakeholders.
