Laser Operator/Trainee Laser Programmer

Express Metal Products is seeking an experienced laser operator with a view to leverage their skills and progress their career into a laser programming role.
With increased production capacity and a change in strategic direction, now is the time to cement yourself as a senior member of our team. Our team has an exciting opportunity for candidates with laser or plasma cutting experience who are looking to make the move into indirect manufacturing. Harnessing the skills and experience they have garnered on the production floor, the successful candidate will be charged with the smooth and efficient programming and scheduling of our lasers and automation technologies. Predominantly completed in our ERP and CAM suites, our laser programmers are validating and nesting parts for inclusion in the production environment.
The role suits an experienced laser operator who is looking to transition from the factory environment to an office environment, and who seeks further room to grow their career into the CAD, CAM, and management fields.
The successful candidate will likely have:
Real industry experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery (experience with Trumpf Fiber and CO2 lasers will be highly regarded)Material knowledge, an eye for detail and cut qualityExperience with automation technologiesModerate to advanced IT skills (Microsoft and ERP systems)Proven history as a reliable team playerDemonstrated ability to supervise othersPlease forward your resume to ****** and we will be in contact with suitable applicants to arrange an interview at our Meadowbrook facility or over the phone.
