The Opportunity Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Projects A, you will be an integral member of a collaborative senior leadership team and will be responsible for establishing, leading and managing the newly formed Design & Place team. The role pro-actively ensures the achievement of Landcom's strategic initiatives while informing and driving excellence in design, including superior place making, urban and architectural design on all projects.

Educating, driving, and collaborating with divisions to ensure great quality design and places, contributing expertise at all project stages.Leading the team responsible for project coordination, support and resourcing to achieve superior design outcomes.Reinforcing and continuously evolving Housing Policy and strategic priorities.Embedding design and great places as part of the fabric of Landcom's culture and a normal and crucial part of the delivery of projects.Accountable for the Design Review Panel, leading on Housing Monitor Report, overseeing and developing ExCo & Board reporting and housing release data for various stakeholders and Government as part of Landcom's key role in addressing housing need in NSW.Maintaining strong relationships with housing delivery stakeholders, Government Architect NSW, the State Design Review Panel secretariat, the Institute of Architects and urban design teams in Department of Housing, Planning & Infrastructure.About you: To be successful in this role you will have:
At least 10+ years management experience of high performing teams along with a Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Master Planning or Urban Design.Extensive experience in developing and executing Design & Place strategy and project delivery, including significant experience in the architecture, urban design, property or planning sectors.Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, written communication, presentation and facilitation skills and demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.Strategic planning to achieve multiple objectives (including design quality, buildability and economic efficiency) on property development projects.We rely on the passion and commitment of our people to achieve our ambitions.
