The Opportunity  As the Land Use Administration Officer, you'll provide a high level of administrative support for the Council's Planning Unit, ensuring that administration is conducted in an efficient manner and to a consistent high standard.
You will also provide customer service to a range of internal and external customers dealing with the Planning and Building functions.
You'll be responsible for:  Providing technical support to all staff in the administration of the Planning and Building functions, including for the preparation of correspondence and notices.
Coordinate and undertake registration of Planning Permit applications, Building approvals and related information in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Maintain task lists on Council's records management systems to ensure that documents received by the Planning and Building Unit are appropriately referenced and filed.
Research and prepare certificates and other documents in response to formal requests for information from citizens in accordance with agreed timelines and guidelines.
Process outgoing mail related to the Planning and Building functions.
Data entry for the Planning and Building components of the relevant computer system.
This is a permanent, part time opportunity based in Bairnsdale.
Things You're Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)  Relevant qualifications and experience.
Excellent keyboarding skills and knowledge of or ability to adapt to Council's computer software applications.
Demonstrated focus on attention to detail, and an ability to provide a consistently high quality of work outputs.
Ability to be self-directed and clear about setting priorities in the context of a team workload.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check.
You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
