Industry Engagement Officer
South Melbourne, Melbourne VIC (Full-time)
Do you have a background in sales, an eye for detail and great people skills? We'd love to hear from you! We're looking for an Industry Engagement Officer, with excellent customer engagement and sales experience to join our VIC team. Contract is flexible to suit the right candidate. 
A day in the life Leveraging your relationship management skills and sales acumen, you'll be responsible for generating workplace-based student enrolments. These should flow from both new clients as well as our existing industry partners.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Creating value-driven training propositions for LTT prospects and clients
Leveraging LTT's unique range of pathology  and laboratory  training services to service LTT prospects and clients
Build an in-depth knowledge of the various state and federal government incentive and funding programs available to our clients
Building industry partnerships in the diverse laboratory industry, (E.g. Pathology, Food, Environmental, Health, Minerals, Construction Materials Testing)
Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers and screen potential business opportunities in line with organisational strategy
Maintain records in our customer relationship management system
Monitor inbound applications using our online enrolment system to ensure compliant records
 Your competitive drive and enthusiasm for customer experience will support you in continuing close relationships with our existing clients while actively seeking new sales opportunities. The role requires regular travel to visit metropolitan as well as regional clients throughout VIC.
Must-haves Experience in business development (ideally 3-5 years in solutions-based selling) OR  a background in laboratory science
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and collaborative problem-solving
Accuracy and attention to detail
Sound computer skills (esp. MS Excel)
Ability to work autonomously and remotely
Current driver's licence and own car
Ability to obtain a working with children's check and police clearance
Experience in the vocational education and training (VET) sector
Knowledge of the Australian Government's traineeship support programs
Knowledge of the VIC (Skills First) government funding program
Knowledge of ASQA standards
A remuneration package above the industry standard

In addition to delivering on-site training to our workplace clients in Sydney, you will also work closely with training centre trainers to deliver classroom-based training.
 Reporting to the Lead Trainer and Assessor you'll have the opportunity to work with the VIC team, while enjoying the support of resource developers, quality, compliance, corporate and marketing staff in the Perth head office.
